... opposite another shopping centre so we walked across the highway to this to have a look around. As normal is was huge and I found a massive craft store, which I think may have made John very bored! So of course he dragged me into Best Buy to look at all the electronics! Fun...not! ... in the morning we set off for the hour drive into San Diego. Not knowing too much about what to do when we got there, we parked up in the middle of town and scouted out the situation. We decided to walk around downtown visit the port, then visit a museum at Balboa Park before returning to downtown for our dinner. The main road through San Diego, Fifth Avenue, was a pretty cool place, with some nice looking restaurants and a few decent shops, ...

Our next day was a full day at sea. In the morning we attended a presentation given by the shore excursion manager. I had booked our excursions before the cruise started (less expensive and less people) but these presentations also give us a general overview of the areas around the ports and so are well worth attending. And the military macaw did decide to come on my arm the morning we were leaving, he just didn't want to get off and gave me a nasty bruise when he grabbed my forearm when I tried to have him go onto a dresser...that didn't go away for almost 2 weeks! Lesson learned...use the spray bottle! So, we went and had a quick meal, then back to the house to rest up for the zoo the next day, or last full day of vacation. ...
