      Yesterday was a good day to stay here for R&R and catch up. Enjoyed the sun in the afternoon on our 'patio'. Part of our tickets at the zoo included admission to the Safari Park 30 mi. north of the zoo so that was our destination today. Nice park but not as developed as the zoo.       ... was first established as a breeding centre, but they are now open to the general public, partly because they felt that sharing awareness regarding conservational issues was necessary. After the tram ride, we wandered through the bat enclosure. They were very cute and fuzzy and made some great photos!       ... windows were all the way up so it was very windy going over and coming back. But what a view we had of San Diego city and also the Naval Station where some if the Naval Ships were docked. We also went past on Coronado was a hotel called Hotel De Coronado which was made all out of wood and it is the only Hotel that is still made out of wood.
