... Napa the farming changed to vineyards (of course) and fruit farms and we stopped off at a little stall along the way for some deliciously sweet strawberries. As we'd not done any research on what to do in Napa and we'd not booked a hotel, our first stop when we arrived in Napa was the visitor center. They were very helpful. They booked a hotel for us, gave us a whole load of maps, recommended places to eat and some things for us to ...

... to sunny Napa Valley. Four hours later we arrived at our new hotel. I literally had time to drop off some of the bags before leaving for our 'Lunch Above The Clouds'. We had been given instructions to the Vineyard, which involved 'sharp left', 'fork in road', 'dirt road' etc. Not the easiest place to find (we had to double-back once) but boy was it worth it. A vineyard (named Chateau Potelle, they're ...

... wine tours (by bus) seemed to be sky high in Napa and the local shuttle didn't go far enough for us to see everything. We therefore decided to rent bikes, so we could cycle through the town of Calistoga, right next to our camping site. We were happy to find out these bikes actually had brakes this time and Oli even got Mieke so far to wear a helmet.... only after a couple of wines that was! ;-)

We got a little map from the ...
