We bought a truck to carry the camper today! It needs a little work, but seems basically strong. Once we get it travel-ready, we need to go to Arizona to pick up the camper.
In other news today, we also decided to rent out our house (rather than selling), and selected a property management company.
A huge progress day!
... RV! We both find it sad for us older folks who can remember this segment of history; however, the present day younger set may never hear, nor know, of the Chisholm Trail. Our initial learning of the Trail came from the old black & white TV shows back in the ‘60’s, and these are now stored away in Hollywood archival film cans—Rawhide, Maverick, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Laramie, and of course… the Wild, Wild West. Maybe those oldies will be shown as re-runs ...
Well, we're finally here!! Landed in Dallas this afternoon after a stop over in LA. Took us about 4 hours to sort out the rental car pick up, and our new phones. After a couple of frustrating phone calls it's all finally up and running -yay! Drove about an hour from the airport, East, and staying at a motel for the night.So far, so ...
... I took pictures. The first set of pictures is getting to Wylie, TX and some sites around Wylie, you can see the steam coming off that lake.
I will get some pictures loaded and get them sent and I probably won't write until we hit the road again.
PS, I forgot to add we are staying in the same park we were in one and a half years ago.

... The George H. W. Bush Library is at College Station). We really enjoyed the displays. The most impressive was the treatment of 9/11, with all kinds of displays on the events before and after, film clips of everything that happened. Also had the "mandatory" Oval Office as it was during 43's presidency (Reagan Library also had that). Beautiful day in Dallas once the clouds lifted, mid 70's, looks like ...
