Beautiful Michigan Day. Spoiled by Golf

Eight of us met at Macatawa Legends for Senior Day. Great deal - golf and lunch for $35. Such a beautiful day. Golf not so beautiful. Still had fun. Something about Boots? Back to Schmidts to pick up our stuff, then to Grand Rapids. Doing a Park 'n Fly while we are gone. Good place, will park car here while we are gone. Up early tomorrow. 7:30 flight to Anchorage.

Excited to get to Cape Town, although I have a lot of travel time ahead of me!

We've used his sister's home as a convenient stop in the past on our way to great eastern locations- like Gettysburg, Washington, DC, the eastern shore of Maryland, the Hudson River Valley where we did wonderful programs from Elderhostel. As time has gone by and we've gotten lazier (or should ...

... comfortable and can handle a few flying-by-the-seat-of-my-pants moments. Really, I’m trying to calm down and learn to roll with the punches. I’m just not the kind of person who can laugh at myself and eat cookies after I’ve gone to Charles de Gaulle airport and just realized my flight leaves from Orly. (yes, that was Josh 5 years ago while I sat there in a frantic panic saying, “how can you be so calm!!!?”)

    Anyway, we ...
