Another cold and windy day! Only 40 degrees and cloudy. Heading to Fort Collins (just north of Denver) this morning to go to the Anheuser/Busch Brewery tour at 11:30. Then we have a tour of the Denver Mint and 3:30, which was really hard to get. I’ve been going on the website all week and there were no openings, but then last night I took a chance, and there was a spot left. Good day to do indoor things! We headed south on Hwy 287 to the Buttes ...

... had a mini mass. After church we picked up a couple of things from Whole Foods Market so mum and dad could cook dinner. They made meatballs, they were really nice. Then we drove to a park with lots of Christmas lights and walked around in the cold looking at all the pretty lights. We drove back home and Skyped the family, it was really nice to see everybody and wish them merry Christmas. Everybody went to bed excited for the following ...

The next day was quite the adventure for Pat and I, we decided to do the incline… as the name suggests this involved walking upwards. This is a decent size hill with more than a decent amount of stairs going up it – if you have been to Mount Cook Mullar hutt the stairs think the stairs to the first lockout place – however remember that you start at 7000feet and end up around 9500.

... No, they aren't on the edge of your seat page turners but wonderful stories to read during Christmas.

Music and books kept us pretty entertained for most of the trip. The girls were just happy to not be studying. When we reached Colorado Springs, we searched for a resaurant we had read about online - Edelweiss German Restaurant. We didn't know anything about it but it sounded great so we decided to give it a try. I'm so glad we did!! ...
