... chose a Ford Escape for the trip. Just as we got in the car it started to pour rain. The kids enjoyed seeing lightning and we were able to find the hotel in the rain. We decided to walk across the street to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. We were tired and it was the easy choice. After a filling dinner we went back to the hotel and settled down. Sean was a bit hyper and had trouble going to sleep. Mom and Dad had no problem going to ...

There we some shops; nice outlook and open air bars where you could have a drink and look at the Potomac River. We chatted to the locals; had a few laughs and generally looked forward to having 3 days off the bikes and time to explore.

    ****sticks.

With the help of my dad, I was able to schedule a 9 AM flight the next morning. However, there was no way in hell either of my parents were going to come get me so I resolved to spend the night at Dulles Airport.

... no results. We lured them in with food hoping to lull them to sleep....apparently they just got a bit fatter in the process. We even separated them into different rooms! Alas, our cats were determined to make sure that the original wake up time of 5am was instead....every 20 mins....all night. Jerks.

    Anyway....5am rolls around......

Jen decided to go for a morning run while I tended to loading up the car. We were out the door at ...
