    We departed Elkins and drove to Dulles. I had the misfortune to hit and kill a deer on the way. Luckily for us, there was not a lot of damage to the truck, so we were able to finish our trip without further incident.

    ... chose a Ford Escape for the trip. Just as we got in the car it started to pour rain. The kids enjoyed seeing lightning and we were able to find the hotel in the rain.
