      Today I headed off to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center annex out near Dulles International Airport. It is where most of the large aeroplane exhibits are housed (although having a DC3 hanging in the entry area to the in-town museum hardly qualifies as 'small').

We were so exhausted from the heat when walking around Arlington and walking around the Air and Space Museum, we took our lunch back to the hotel and watched the end of the soccer.       ... is one of the good points about our trip to Washington (1-lets count them as we go along). Another bum note was hit, however, when we looked out of the window to see snow bucketing down.

      Still we were desperate to get out of the horrid hostel and with only one day in Washington had plenty to do, so at 8.15 we were out in the bucketing snow ready for some sightseeing and museums and hopeful that they would clear up.
