We departed Elkins and drove to Dulles. I had the misfortune to hit and kill a deer on the way. Luckily for us, there was not a lot of damage to the truck, so we were able to finish our trip without further incident.

We boarded our plane at 6:30. I've never flown on a more comfortable or large airplane. The Airbus A 370 is a double decker airplane that seats around ...

... blocks to the national history museum, which was wicked, my inner loser definitely came out for the two hours spent there. Although, I was extremely disappointed to find out the t-Rex (from night at the museum) was not on display as they were making a new area for it. I then decided I wanted to rent a bike, as from my experience in amsterdam and miami I thoroughly enjoyed it and found it was the best way to see everything that I wanted. So, I got my bike and off I went to explore ...

... does make for a huge foyer area that is just a meeting place.

After the museums I got out of the cold, though not before spotting a police/FBI car. Is that not just a car with an identity crisis? It was movie night at the hostel, and though that seemed to involve just watching the comedy channel it passed the time. As people disappeared from the too-small living room, I gradually upgraded from hard chair through edge of sofa to proper seat. Good for my sense of progress.
