      ... had a few minutes before heading to the airport, so we walked about as far around Echo Lake as we could. Then, in the car for the drive to the airport.

      Returned rental car, shuttled to airport, went through security. Thank goodness we had Pre, because the lines were very long. Went to the club, where I worked for a bit. Then on the plane for an easy flight home. Got our bags, the car, and drove home. Gruden greeted us with whimpering.

      ... our seats were the last row of the plane, of course. The flight attendant was so nice and offered to take Sebastian for a cockpit tour. I'm not going to lie, this was one of those times I was glad Sebastian wouldn't go anywhere without me. I think I was as excited as him. But he was over the moon when the pilot offered him his seat and told him to "fly the plane". He told daddy when we got back to our seats, "Bubba drive the airplane."

      ... we finally got data coverage, it took us a while to find a hotel not completely out of our way, that was available. We finally ended up in a Hilton Garden Inn on the south side of Denver. Today ended up being a LONG day of driving - about 12 hours! At least we are in a good hotel with a comfy bed & a bar! We will continue south tomorrow to 2 more NPS sites in southeast Colorado. Since we skipped Rocky Mountain, we may swing down to ...
