Starting the day by getting up at 3:30am. This may be normal for Mary but this is way too early for this old guy. Flight is on time so far to Dallas. Meeting the Z's in Dallas. They too had a really early morning. I thought vacations were set up to allow one to catch up on sleep. Well doesn't matter since we are on our way to ...

When we arrived we realised how far we were from the town centre, and as we only had a few hours, decided to give exploring a miss. We werent gonna spend the whole day in the ...

... our hotel reminds me a great deal of International Drive in Orlando. And apparently the quaint colonial sites that were free and free-wheeling then are now choreographed and cost a pretty penny to see. We'll explore a bit tomorrow but will head up to Baltimore sooner rather than later, as Beltway traffic is not something I relish tangling with. Even if I could roll down my window and sniff the air, trying to sense some scent of the South amidst the fumes and fuel.
