Day one to CaySeesItAll! Woah, I've never had a blog before. I feel so official *hairflip*. I'm writing now from the Detroit Metro Airport. First time to the state of Michigan and I must say it's been a beauty. I always venture off to test the waters. I always abruptly approach the locals. I always want to grow more in my travels. Dinner ended up being at The South Lyon Hotel about an hour north west ...
... t bother me, but it was holding up the line) . . . and there were people ordering the little disgusting frozen pizzas . . .that take 45 seconds each . . . plus a bunch of dinking around in the process . . . and then younger people order beer and liquor . . . that needed to be carded . . . we were in Indiana before getting to order!!!
But, we got the stuff (the little ol' lady just ordered coffee . . . I knew there was ...
... the former owners to see if this had ever happened to them (it hadn't) so we called roadside assistance. Five minutes into our drive. Ugh.
The guys came out within 40 minutes (the maintenance company's name is Hot Shots - they were MAGNIFICENT) and discovered we'd lost our alternator belt. Kinda important.

Ah… so Nancy was home for lunch, walking their dog, our new friend “Monkey” (or “Monk”) when we pulled up. Monk is deaf and mostly blind at 16 years of age.
