... ended up getting a dent in my car at one point as he was getting squeezed between cars and a truck. Once we got on the west side hwy it was fine but it was very harrowing and tine consuming to get there! Stopped at Figs in Newtown for lunch and pick up stuff at house then back at cabin by 4:30... Today was in the 40s but still raw and chilly. We walked north today, up Madison and fifth avenue, stopping at a watch store and the Beretta store. We had a great lunch at Lavo on e58. Again, place was jammed with holiday parties but we sat in bar by front window so was great. My truffle fries and bread pudding made with croissants, dark chocolate chunks and caramel sauce ( with a side of vanilla ice cream) were outstandingly delicious! Again, not having ...

... wasn't as bad as it sounds. Got to see the tree at Rockefeller center which was very pretty in rain. To us, NY didn't have as many decorations and lights as we expected! When we got back to hotel around 10, we decided to have dinner at the wine bar, Madison and Vine, that is connected to the hotel. Was delightful!
