This was a great place. I enjoyed talking to the young man at the desk about traveling and how Pennsylvania has so much to offer. His conversation made me spend an unplanned two hours driving around Presque Isle, the Peninsula across from Erie, PA. Good breakfast and service. Great staff.

After checking all our lists we left Buckhorn at 11:30. Driving was smooth with a few delays through Central Toronto but we definitely missed being in any rush hour traffic. Got through the Canada/US border without a hitch. Thanks to our Nexus cards we were able to sail through and not wait in line for a moment. Roads had no snow so driving was a pleasure. That 6 feet of snow in Buffalo is all gone! Snacked in the car along ...

This article is about the history of Buffalo, New York. Buffalo is the 2nd most populous city in the state of New York, after New York City. Originating around 1789 as a small trading community near the mouth of Buffalo Creek, Buffalo grew quickly after the opening of the Erie Canal in 1825, with the city as its western terminus. he ...

... It was organized as an R&R meaning very few planned activities; dinners were preplanned as a group but the rest was ‘do whatever suits you’ whether it be hiking, biking or exploring nearby towns and attractions. It was great! Nice people, interesting conversations, tips on places to go. I enjoyed it.

We did have one organized afternoon visit to the Riverside Inn in Cambridge ...

... to eat lunch until 2:00pm. Then it was difficult to find a place to stay overnight. There are no billboards in this part of the state. When I could not find a hotel in Buffalo, I resorted to my iPhone and finally found an exit in northeast Erie. Glad to get off the road. Just one of the adventures of traveling where we've never ...

... on the I 71 which was 3 lanes each way.. Wispy clouds in the sky as we headed for Cleveland. Arrived there around 10 am and went into the town centre. Lots of people in orange jerseys walking the same way. Lots of car parks with people gathered around their cars. They seemed to be sitting and talking - this may be tailgating - they gather in the car park before the game for a BBQ.

Drove around for a time ...
