Yesterday, when we went by the OV-10 museum and it was closed, I emailed the contact person on the website and asked if anyone would be at the museum on Tuesday. This morning, he replied that someone would be there between 9 and noon today. So after a quick breakfast at the base bowling alley (recommended as the best breakfast on base, and it was pretty good!), we headed back to the museum.

... was right next to the Clinton Library. We did not know it was located in Little Rock. It is a charity we have contributed to over the years most recently this past Christmas when we purchased animals in Andrew, Lily, & Michael's names. They have a great learning center for children and a wonderful cafe. After lunch, we are on our way to Austin. Hope to make it before Ailish's bedtime ...

Well I thought Vicksburg might be bigger than it was, but what a disappointment.
We left there this morning, weaving our way through Miss, La, ending up in Arkansas. the countryside was pretty uninspiring, lots of corn being grown, but nothing else I could recognise
.
On the way we saw a huge lake.Lake Providence, but nowhere to stop and look at it properly. a few fishermen sitting in boats looking pretty bored!
