Headed for the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum in West Branch, Iowa. Passing lots and LOTS of corn fields. Reminds me of traveling in Iowa while working on research projects for Altarum Institute - but now I can just enjoy the scenery.

Last night we stayed at the Illiniwek Forest Preserve Campground in Hampton, Illinois. Very cool campground on the Mississippi River. I've posted a picture on this blog of the campground.

During the day, Mousse did a great job. His potty training is going very well – no accidents today. His leach training is getting better but we have some work to do. Today, Mousse did a bunch of socializing with some fellow campers in the park.

After the vet visit, we headed to Lisa and Dave’s. We had a chance to babysit Izzie until Lisa came home. Once Lisa got home we headed to the coach for dinner.

... seen signs for "buca-wiches" ... so it was something on our list to try that we finally got to do in Mt. Vernon! A buca-wich is basically a long sub bread with the top end clipped off and the middle cored out; then the middle is filled with a choice of meat. In our case, we chose the meatball version ... delicious!

At the next town, I made a pit-stop and soon was approached by a woman handing out business cards; she said was the Mayor and running for ...
