Starting the day by getting up at 3:30am. This may be normal for Mary but this is way too early for this old guy. Flight is on time so far to Dallas. Meeting the Z's in Dallas. They too had a really early morning. I thought vacations were set up to allow one to catch up on sleep. Well doesn't matter since we are on our way to ...

Stuart & Sylvia and Craig & Mandy-Jane bought their Harleys a pleasant
dinner was being enjoyed. Possibly a couple of glasses had been consumed, and
it is likely that one or two of Stuart’s normal jokes had been aired. “Why

This ends the second day so we’ve got a lot more to get through. Bear with us! (Apologies about the foul ...

"Can I order the ribs, and can I have chips on the side? And because I'm British, when I say chips I mean fries." Today was a wonderful relaxing day on the beach which capped off the seaside part of the holiday. We were up in good time and went for a walk around the shops that backed on to the beach. It's amazing to see the variety of beachwear and accessories that they sell. Fitting in with the other shoppers we filled up our cart ...

Passage from the Chesapeake to the Bahamas

It was a beautiful autumn day as we departed Little Creek, Norfolk, Virginia, with light north winds. Departure time was 1355 on November 9, 2012. After passing over the south tunnel of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel with full main and genoa, we were soon motor sailing down the Virginia Beach oceanfront in light conditions, furling the genoa before nightfall.

Our planned route would take us down ...
