Our destination is Amana Colonies in Amana, IA. This is an historic German town that we stopped briefly on our trip to Alaska in 2012. The town closes up at 5:00 pm so we decided to come back and stay a few nights to check it out. More tomorrow on our venture into town.

I'd like to forget that, although I'm retired, travel in an RV and go wherever the spirit leads us, there are still all those same old everyday things that need to be done. You know, those mundane chores that must be done at some point; cooking, cleaning, shopping, laundry, bill paying, RV and auto maintenance and on and on. There is no escaping it.
