Left Bloomington and rejoined the original road after a short stint on the interstate. Followed Route 66 as it wound it's way past McLean before making a stop in Atlanta. ... sometimes these hotels can be a bit dodgy, but it was so cool. When we walked into the lobby there were lots and lots of Route 66 bits and pieces; cars and signs and photos and maps, it was really cool. We booked into our room, and hauled our cases up the stairs to the New Mexico corridor. The room was nice and it had Route 66 stuff around. The owner had obviously put a lot into the property.
