We've arrived safe and sound in LA. I must start this blog with a story that starts in Caloundra Qld last Friday. I was having lunch with my mate Roy at a Thai restaurant when a lady heard me mention Sturgis. She told us her husband was leaving for Sturgis on the same flight as us. Palm Springs is where the rich and famous play. It is a lush green town with lots of gated communities and ...

... or our poorer NZ cousins (haha, I'm joking, honest, I love you guys...wait, is there even anyone from NZ reading this? Never mind!) Hilarity, hijinks, and lots of cheap alcohol ensue, and by the end of the night I can't remember much, but I'm pretty sure that everyone had a great night! I think! The next day I decided to take it a little easier. After getting up rather late I headed off to a nearby DFO called "The Castle" (sadly not in the shape of an actual castle!) for ...
