Our great adventure started in Los Angeles at 70 degrees. Nick introduced me to In-N-Out burger. We shopped on Rodeo Drive, saw it "snowing" (actually bubbles), saw some flashy cars and think we even spotted some Kardashians. We toured Long Beach on Segways and had some amazing crab at the Crab Pot. While in LA, we walked The Hollywood Walk of Fame and kind of saw the Hollywood Sign from the Highlands Mall (not an easy task). We headed up the coast to Santa Monica ...

... In the evening we went to the cinema to see Big Hero 6, the new Disney film..it's really good. Out in January in the UK, you must go! Day 6 - We went to Malibu by bus. There was a lovely cafe on the end of the pier where we went for lunch and then had a stroll along the beach. It wasn't long when we got back that it was time to head to the airport. A 12 hour flight to Fiji. Time for some more sun, sand and sea ...

Bags connected through and the only near delay was the girl who decided to use the bathroom on the plane while we were moving and held us up by about 10 minutes. Head shake. Land in Mexico City and am stoked that my luggage has made it! Guide from journey Mexico is waiting for me and calls the car which whisks me in less ...

After a good nights sleep we slipped breakfast and headed to the souvenir shops this morning to have a look see. Laura bought a custom made t shirt with her little Hugo on which looks awesome. The plan after that was to head to the metro which is exactly what we did and caught the train to union station in order to reach ...

... more than 15 minutes. We had lunch on Santa Monica pier before having a gander at all the rides. It is something that would be cool back in NZ, and pretty common around the world but maybe we just don't have enough people to sustain boardwalks and carnivals on the beach? A shame, however shady many of them are!.
