... here was the parking, which was €1.00 for 4 hours. Dune du Pyla is the tallest sand dune in Europe, and overlooks both hinterland and the sea. We just sat at the top of the dune for a while and took it all in. Again, another place to bring the parents, maybe with a picnic and some nice Bordeaux wine! Being our first Christmas away from home, it was a bit strange. On Christmas Eve, we were invited around to one of the players houses for a feast and a few drinks. ... so then it became a "deal." Really, we just were excited about pancakes. Then we headed over to the library which was ABSOLUTELY gorgeous I was jealous of the public who can use it.     Well today our plan was to do our own bike tour of the city. The route was planned, the bag was packed now all we needed was the bike! Bordeaux has this great system where you can go to one of the 139 bike stations around the city, pay for a bike and return it somewhere else along the way.
