We woke to torrential rain. In fact much of the night was torrential rain so it was no surprise we were next to a very large puddle. After breakfast in the camp common room we were sent to Bages , a tiny village where, to our amazement, there was a bike shop with the right size tyre and inner tube for P&Ps tandem - phew! Then onwards for a day crossing the Medoc. The highlight ...

We wanted to have a day or so on a campsite. It's a bit more relaxing than an aire and you get more space. We also wanted to go into Bordeaux and there aren't any suitable aires. Then into Bordeaux. Drove to the park and ride and then tram into the city. What a ...

We had a nice meal outside the town walls before walking back up through the town to ...

I passed a campervan on a narrow road. Wendy advised me that my rear view mirror went under their mirror, we were that close. Wendy says I need to be more careful, I say it was skillful driving.
Arrived at our apartment. As cars are not allowed in the city, had to ...

... Chateau and significant winery. We picked up some goodies (it was the equivalent of the Leonidas chocolate shop the previous day where Blanche bought so much chocky that they closed the store after we left) in nice pine cases and then headed for the very hard to find, world famous Chateau d'Yquem. I guess they are not really chasing carloads of Aussies to come and taste their good wallop and we found that you had to have booked 2 months in advance to do a tour. We did manage ...
