... enough to me that how come a world famous museum can be so quite. In Beijing, it is always crowded and noisy near the Forbidden City. And, only 400 RU for the ticket. What a deal!

Since I didn't pay for the camera fee, no photos were taken but only one when I stood in the steps. My experience in the museum was about walking, seeing, resting. It seemed the same for every museum visit, but this one was different. I barely stoped ...

The entrance to the Palace was crowed - sardine like crowded – and before we could enter the rooms we had to put “slippers” over our shoes to help preserve the floors. ... Petersburg after dark and made the mistake of taking the metro to our hotel RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF RUSH HOUR! And it was packed! I mean there wasn't one single inch of free space on the trains. I felt like a sardine!

We finally made it to our hotel which is located right in the center of the city. And with 3 full days of great sightseeing ahead we just decided to enjoy a good meal and get some sleep....

Alert: Everything is spelled phonetically as I have NO IDEA how to read Russian.

So I must confess, Russia is a bit terrifying. Our guide is a very interesting person. I think that she is actually KGB and wants to kill us. But you know, whatever. Honestly it's just a bit of a culture shock, as Russians seem to be much more serious and curt than Americans. But still, a bit terrifying.
