My plan for the day was to go GoKarting and shopping for groceries and a couple items to spruce up my room. However, like any good plan it can be muddled.
I was suppose to make it to the Gokart center at quarter to 12 (11:45), sharp, but got lost and made it there to realize the briefing had just finished. This event was arranged by the Aberdeen Adventures Meet-up group with the host being James who hosted the Mountain biking trip I went attended.
I stuck around for ...
... that the groupies behind me got on about how they were going to spend there weekend and how the guest lecturer was a bother. Opps, did it again. Guess school and student dynamics are universal. The struggle is real. And yes, inconsiderate students annoy me even in Scottish. The female Scottish is less forgivable than the male accent. I still was interested in the class and wanted to see if I could learn something new about CV's from across the pond.
... tour through Spain and Portugal with my parents we all left a few days early to get on a plane and head to Edinburgh, Scotland. We mentioned in another blog that we ordered David's ring from a small family jeweler in Edinburgh, so we had to get to the shop in time to pick up the ring before heading to Aberdeen. Once we flew in and grabbed our minivan we hit the road to re-find the jeweler! We didn't really know what was going to be in the box when we picked up his ring. I mean, yes ...
We had a fairly relaxed day today. Katie and I. And jean, my other great friend who I made through Katie when I was living up in Scotland.
We watched some telly, hung out and then went for a few drinks with the m&S crew for a birthday.
Well it was supposed to be a few drinks.
... best friends.
I hear so many people say that they feel like a third wheel when they hang out with a friend and their partner.
Well I am going to take after my sister, and say that is more like them on a bike and I am riding a unicycle....just makes me so much cooler.
AND...it always leaves open the option of something to say when I feel like the odd one out.
"I can't ride a unicycle".
Thanks Ro for that one!
