... an Indian credit card is a must, and second, there is a lot of garbage that they'll need to burn (it's the only way they get rid of it). You might think, shut up you sound like a first world sack of ****. But seriously, the world is a lot more technologically connected that you would expect, there was wifi in the middle of the Wayanad forest area. Trying to regain that feeling of adventure, and excitement each day, I am heading for the HImalayas! I'm excited, ...

Big cities, ruined cities and no cities

India is known for its extensive, if sometimes maddening railway system. Unfortunately, the route to Mysore isn't served by railway so instead we took a joyous ride on a sleeper coach. ... suit. Packed and left for Margoan station. I arrive to the station and witness a horrific attack on a child. It was a quick slap to remind me I had left the security of the five star hotel and was back in India. The station was like no other. No lights on the platform, people, dogs crossing on the tracks, sellers, beggars, people having picnics on the platforms, in a word crazy. It was so dark when the train pulled up you have 5 minutes ...

... houses and resorts. The hotels and hostels along the ocean were too pricey for our backpacking budget so we called Poilt (Shannon's motorcycle man) and they drove us around to hotels along the river which fit our budget. We scored a decent hotel for 600 Rupee's (300 R per person) which is about $12 USD. Granted the sheets were dirty and there was a limited supply of water, but it was a place to rest our heads and keep ...
