... and was reputed to be 110 feet tall and made in bronze. It only stood for 56 years until an earthquake toppled it into the sea in 224BC. It lay half submerged until an (Egyptian?) scrap dealer carried the pieces away on 900 camels nearly 900 years later! We were on our way by 0830 and into the old town to see a bit of it before it was closed down to traffic. name the sites stopped pottery - name of vessel lindros lunch walk about white ...

Dinner on board with two couples who were evangelizing!! Not my favourite meal by any stretch. We skipped the show and turned in by ...

We went to the village of Lindos a typical island village with whitewashed houses and narrow winding ...

... was the best sunset on the island. Unfortunately we were a little late and it was a little cloudy. It ended up being a nice little town to explore, shop and eat dinner. We had some delicious meze of mussels, cabbage rolled dolmades, saganaki, and meatballs. We left the slightly more crowded Zia for a cold dune buggy drive back to quiet Kefalos.

The next day we headed to Kos town to drop off the dune buggy, explore a bit ...
