    The mound was not as well kept up as some of the others, making it a little more difficult to see the cross-shape. The greenery growing ONLY on the mound helped to make it a little more obvious. Felt to me like a special place...

    Got a little bit of a late start this morning but had a good time at Fort Ancient looking at the ruins of an ancient community. Lots of earthworks visible all around the region, two calendar mounds that marked the summer and winter solstices. Very good museum that went way past how the Paleo-Indians would have lived, although it gave lots of information about that as well. Moved into the wars with France and the British colonists as well, and spoke of some small communities ...

    ... of the buildings and we parked to get out and look at the Horseshoe Stadium. She showed us the two towers where all of the athletes stay. I found out that Jeffrey Dahmer lived in Morrill Tower. I guess people who lived on that floor were haunted by his ghost and parents were getting uneasy, so they turned the whole floor that he stayed on into storage. That was about it for this day.
