... we called Derek to let him know we would be at Polaris soon. He beat us there and was sitting at the bar when we arrived. For supper I got shepherd's pie, Derek had fish and chips and Larry got the pot roast. Derek came to the house for a while and we watched Rick Steves Scotland and then an episode of Vicious - classic British humor with Ian McKellan and Derek Jacobi. Derek went home and we went to bed.

We spent some time just wandering around this section, with it being so hot today it really helped with the feeling of being in Africa. One of our favourite animals here was the giraffes. They do have times during the day where you can feed them but it seems as if the giraffes like to hang around this area anyway on the off chance they may get fed at any time ...
... We gave the search another hit on Wednesday morning and hit a stumbling block. Whatever we buy, we would not be able to drive as we needed a residential address to get insurance. And you have to have insurance to register the car. As foreigners we would not be able to buy here at all it seems. Umm can we find a way around it? We shall keep looking.
