Early rise for breakfast and coffee and to finish packing and getting ready to leave. We race around as we were aiming to leave at 9am as the plan is to drive to Nashville for lunch, which was 5 hours away. We ended up leaving later around 9:45am as we got caught up transferring photos and having issues with computers. We got it all sorted and said our goodbyes, thank you's and took some last minute photos with ...

Devotees of Rick Steves, whose illegitimate son Steve works in our office we swear to heavens, JR and I are attempting the 'one carry on and one backpack' approach to traveling this time. ... and one within the last 4 miles. We also had a lot of road/gravel road walking again today. We actually road walk a little too much near the end because the road we needed was not blazed, map marker #22. From map marker #22 to #23 there is zero blazes. We stopped only once while we were on US 46, not the safest walk or stopping point. We did notice a couple of places ...

... did not exist. We got to camp around 5:30 PM and did not have time for a camp fire. My spoon had broken the night before, thanks Mitch, so I had to borrow one from Ryan. The three of us fit into the the three man tent nicely and without any major issues.
