Colour Hotel Frankfurt

We got into Frankfurt at around 12:30 or so. I think.... and found are hotel pretty quick and easy. When we checked in we were told that today (may 1) is fathers day - a bank holiday...so everything is closed. Wayner and I had some pretty good snoozies on the plane so we thought we beat jet leg. We wanted to check out the Sitdel (an art muesem) and after hearing about the the holiday today we decided we best go yesterday, cause we were sure it was open. Had a lovely second day in frankfurt, but my feet really hurt at the end. Was a holiday so alot was closed, but there really isn't much to see that needs to be open anyways. The city is just wonderful to look at and take in. Me and wayne walked around the city, saw the medival square(where there were festivities and bratwurst :) ), made our way up to some pretty little parks and gardens, and walked down by the river. Hey everyone! I have had a very busy and exciting past week! Tuesday night our pensione, Gallo D'oro, always does theme dinner and this weeks was "Anything But Clothes (ABC)" So we had some interesting costumes. I dressed up in my new duvet cover and we were all fabulous. Afterwards it was Grace's birthday so we had a huge party in Gallo with lots of kids coming over. Just spent 2 days in Frankfurt. Didn't do much except watch movies on the hotel cable channel and have a wee wander in the afternoon

Just so ya'll know, we are here safely and enjoyed the gripping tale of love between family and dog (marley and me) on the plane. Germany is all one would expect so far. It is nearly 24 hours since we've slept. We'll report back soon with photos.

Hallo Alles! This is our second day (and night) in Frankfurt. The city is very beautiful--a mixture of old charm, but still overwhelmingly cosmopolitan!
