A well needed walk in the sun was needed after, back to Yalikavak after for a few drinks and not a lot to eat at Dedes as we were still full from our lunch. We said our goodbyes to Daniel and Gill and have now cleaned and packed up the house and our clothes ready for our drive to the airport later. Thank you Turkey for a wonderful experience and holiday always to be remembered and we will be back sometime in the future. ...

On Monday after our morning swim we decided to do the coastal walk from the town centre around as far as we could go past the beaches and hotels. Being very hot this was quite a challenge so we had our first ice creams of the holiday to cool us down on our walk.....well at least that's our excuse, but they were very ...

... about 4 or 5 hours! We walked on the terraces that were flowing with the warm water. The view from the top was spectacular of the fertile valley below. The site also contains the ancient city of Hierapolis which became a healing centre where doctors used the thermal springs as a treatment for their patients. After lunch and the inevitable stop at the onyx factory and the relatives restaurant for tea, we made the long drive home, arriving at 9:00 ...
