... warm enough to sun ourselves on the beach, but the water was too cool to swim. The next day we packed our bags for a 2 hour ferry ride to Santorini. During breakfast wet met a nice couple from Broome Australia. They have been travelling for 3 months in Europe and we had many travel stories to share with each other. We were sad to leave the friendly hospitality we received on Naxos island but anxious to visit the famous Santorini island.
The Blue Star ferry to Paros left on time and was a very comfortable ride from Piraeus (Athens Port), to the Island of Paros. The taxi met us at the ferry port in Parikia and drove us to the Hotel Senia in the town of Naoussa. We got lucky and our room was upgraded by the owner, Senia, to include a jacuzzi tub. We arrived in Naxos on our comfortable and speedy aquajet and were thankfully met by an agent who showed us to our transfer and organised the information for our stay (things were looking up!).
Our hotel was on the outskirts of the main area and check in was simple before being shown to our room and getting a run-down of the area and the island.

We mostly just drove around and visited beaches all day. We woke up at around 9am and drove to the southwestern most beach with the least amount of people and the finest sand. Sat and walked along the beach for a bit and then drove north to Plaka. We had lunch there at a random restaurant.
