    Naxos

Hello from IOS! You have heard a fair amount about Naxos but I thought I'd fill in the details. We had five nights in Naxos in total. As soon as we got off our (wrong and way faster) boat we loved it! There were lots of families around, tourists but far fewer English people. Lots of local taverns and places to eat. A much more friendly vibe in general than Mykonos! So the highlights of Naxos include - cycling, the boat, a couple of really nice beaches and the outdoor cinema. Oh and ...

... the ideas we had had. On the boat, he started the engine, which had spontaneously remitted, called his two friends who had stayed at the shore and slowly drove the boat towards the pier, to discuss the possibilities they had. We now suspected that there was a reason that the engine problems we had experienced had started when the fuel tank was half empty---perhaps the machine sucked air in the tumultuous swell of the sea, or perhaps a full tank would exert ...

... situation. We had to sail back to a safer place, set the anchor, dive down and assess the damage. We anchored right where we had just left, waited briefly for the boat to turn into the wind, and when we had, I jumped into the water. The sun was starting to set and we had to act quickly before we lost all daylight. Gladly P had brought a diving mask. I took a first look and the damage was clear. About 20 m of yellow rope, all tangled up, forming a big bundle around the ...

... has such a gentle way of speaking and has wonderful expressions, I can't get enough of hearing her talk. She has a very thick German accent but amazing English vocabulary. One of our favorite expressions we got from her is "not with intention". As in, "I made a huge big kite loop jump, but not with intention." I love hearing her talk, even simple things like "Wind Guru is ****." She had the best explanations for what we needed to do to get the ...

A visit to the Archaeological Museum of Paros

... to wish to see more! It was there we first
saw the mosaic of 3rd century B.C. with the mythical Labors of Hercules as well
as the human sarcophaguses. It’s a very impressive exterior area that wins the
    visitor right away!

The Museum itself is not very big,
however its exhibits are very important and come by archaeological diggings contacted
on the island itself as well as the nearby island of Antiparos. The ...
