Colorado River Resort Bullhead City

If you are reading this, and we warned you not to, here is why....<br><br>When we left the Grand Canyon we drove for a few hours that night and stayed in lovely Needles, California, right on the border of Arizona. So thats it, just where we slept for the night, before we headed up to Yosemite National Park.<br><br>We just wanted our map to be accurate, hence the reason for this post.<br><br>Till Yosemite, a real post you can read.<br><br>Nic and Jess<br>

We picked up the RV today in Los Angeles, it's fantastic. A 32 foot (10m) home on wheels with 3 beds, shower, toilet, air conditioner, stove and fridge. This will be my home for the next 21 days.<br>We are headed to Northern Arizona (Bullhead City, AZ) tonight. Boy is it hot, 108F (30+ celcius).<br>

... to sleep so I headed for the park. It seemed nice enough for me. slept great except for two things............................ 1) DONT ever try to pee out of your tent while you are still in it. Holy **** did I make a mess and I had to go 5 times that night, imagine my night. 2) DONT sleep in a Veterans Park on Veterans Day. It will make for an uncomfortable situation. Still loving it!

On the way to our camp at the colorado river, we stopped off on the famous ROUTE 66 highway, Got papped with a cardboard cut out of james dean, pretty cool. Then went to lake havasu where our old london bridge is now situated. Seems eery, its too much of a nicer setting to be reminded of london! theres even loads of pigeons too... The trip out of the canyon was entirely different than the trip in. We left at 5 a.m., which, as it turned out, wasn't nearly early enough to beat the sun to the open valley and the switchbacks. I had blisters. We didn't pack enough water. And the weight of the previous days weighed heavily on my bones and muscles. Our bodies were clearly fatigued. As we made the trip uphill in the sand ...

I slowly, one step at a time, descended like a rock climber. As I reached the bottom I looked up to see Andrew concentrating on his foot and hand holds as he worked his way down. Some areas of the climb down were certainly made for people with longer legs than I will ever have, which made the climb down difficult and very scary. A few ladders had been placed along the way, secured with rope and not-so-intricate knots ...

... a stream. After stopping to check out the stream and cool off a bit, we continued along the trail, which was now following the stream. We could feel the village getting closer, as signs began to pop up and we were forced to cross a foot bridge over the now fairly wide stream. We stopped near an abandoned shack, resting and grabbing a drink of water. Walking along the trail getting nearer and nearer to the village we saw the rock ...

Like clockwork *s soon *s the l*st c*b le*ves the p*r*de of pizz* guys begin to *rrive in the m*in lobby. The hotel h*sn't h*d * pizz* delivered *ll d*y *nd inst*ntly 10-15 pizz* guys *re in the elev*tors within 10 minutes of e*ch other. ... Luxor hotel. After it got cooler, went to the Imax cinema (in the hotel) to see a 3D movie "The haunted mansion" - the 3D effect was stunning, but the story line was wierd. Finally, an excursion to the Freemont Centre to see the light show, and to get an evening meal. Look out soon for the photos ( we're aiming to upload these later in the week, probably Tuesday)
