... I've always heard the stars are brighter in the desert, and it's true. Wow. If this resort was on a Caribbean Island, we would be paying a ton of $ and talking about what a wonder island it is to visit. But this is the good ol' U S of A and it doesn't get much better than this. What a great find, thanks Carla!
Tomorrow it's only 50 miles back to Kingman. Hopefully, we won't have as much wind. If I keep this up, I will have ...
... list check mark. Frankie had a Patty Melt and I chose the Grilled Turkey with cheese and green chili. Both were great and we celebrated by sharing a chocolate malt for dessert, served in the classic parfait goblet complete with the loaded metal container with a full second serving. After that, onward to Bullhead City (AZ/NV border) where the temperature was 107 degrees.
We found a hotel via the I-Pad and Captain Kirk (the Priceline app ...
We left St. George, UT on Saturday morning (December 8th) and drove to Needles, California for no other reason than to make the trip in two segments. We think that we are getting this retirement thing down as we really don't care to drive all that much so we prefer to take a couple of days to get somewhere when someone with a time related purpose would drive the same distance in a matter of hours. Life is good.
