... more so for Eleanor. Located on the side of the mountain, it was a serene and fragrant setting. The area is incredibly lush with pine trees for miles and miles. I had trepidations about entering the museum and eventually the house with memories of Graceland still fresh in my head. There was nothing to fear though. The museum was concise and well displayed, the house was quaint and well preserved and overall a pleasant experience. Also, the ...

A stroll along the foreshore and our time in Savannah was up. This is a beautiful, balmy town that we thoroughly enjoyed. We wished we could stay longer.

It seems that the Norweigans set up a whaling station in 1911 that lasted until 1931. It as a very big operation with some 250 people working here. They had several very large storage and heating tanks ...

Savannah is really a great place to visit. If you go make sure to take the trolley tours, it's well worth the money. It's nice to sit back, not worry about the traffic and listen to your guide as he narrates the tour. You are free to get on and off as you wish, because there are many areas where you will like to spend some time.
Savannah, Georgia, United States captrick... perfectly... Or not. After still not being able to fall asleep early all week despite getting up at 7:00 in the morning, leaving me with a good three hours of sleep a night, I was again up all night. Literally... ALL NIGHT. I watched the newest Tivo'd episode of "I Want To Be a Soap Star" until 1:00 and then I just tossed and turned all night. So what did I get out of my brilliant, "No sleep 'till Orlando" plan? A pair ...
Hardeeville, South Carolina, United States babieemelly... in 1733, shaped from a wilderness by James Edward Oglethorpe and a little band of English settlers. In her infancy, Oglethorpe favored Savannah with what has become her world renowned claim to fame - her squares, the park like havens that make her such a wonderful place for strolling and relaxing. Graced by huge live oaks festooned with Spanish moss and azaleas bursting with colorful blossoms, the squares are unique centerpieces surrounded by stately old ...
