270 miles Washington to Roanoke. We had a wonderful 5 year wedding anniversary! We spent today on "America's favourite drive" the Blue Ridge Parkway. Jet lag meant we were on the road by 8.30am! It was a 2.5 hour drive to the start of the parkway in Waynesboro. It wasn't really that far but the speed limits are pretty slow. Even 5 lane freeways are 55mph, sometimes 60 mph.
