... the pace was really good. I like every place that we traveled to. Each was different. The architecture and art of Portugal and Spain are beautiful. Calatrava, Gehry and Gaudi!!! All different and fabulous. The food was too good! The Atlantic, Mediterranean and beautiful rivers - plazas, museums, route of Saint James - the history, people and cultures - made this trip an excellent one! We are so fortunate to have this opportunity and share it with each other and dear ...

Our drive from New Jersey to the Hamptons took us up through New York. Sounds daunting but the roads and bridges just roll on though Brooklyn, across Staten Island then up through the Hampton Bays.

It took me half an hour to get back. I ...

New York is so big and it is so
tempting to stay there for ever and be swallowed by the high energy
    of the city.

We have a lovely breakfast with Karen
and Sophie Young in the new rehabilitated “Chelsea” area and it
was nice to have a quick update on the stay of Sophie this summer in
Oxford-England and the new development of the fantastic charity

... the interchange at East Haven cause we may have taken the wrong exit (twice) and had to 'make a legal u-turn where possible and return to the designated route'. Geoff doing well with the right-hand side of the road driving but pretty tired cause it takes a lot of concentration. The B&B was nice and had a lovely view from our window across a small beach and bay. Owners were very friendly and helped us decide what to do in the next 4 days. Dinner, beach walk, bed. Surprise ...
