    Day 49. Vermont The first stop today was Fort Adams - not that was saw a great deal of the fort. It was bucketing down, windy and so cold, the walk to the visitors centre was enough to send us back to the warmth of our car.     ... believe this. He has been fishing since he was 8 years old and showed a grace on the water that went way beyond his years.

    We worked hard - nowhere to hide in a small group of 3. Our final session was on the Battenkill River - the spiritual home of New England fly fishing. The weather was not kind - very wet and misty. None of us caught any fish but a good time was had by all. And yes, I did "get it"!

    Well off we set at 8:30 am to venture along the hwy to get closer to Cooperstown. The toll roads are enough to break you. One we hit in Maine was $7.50, another $4.00 and another at $ 3.50, yikes.
    We decided to take the #2 thru the top of Massachusetts which became a much more sensible drive to do. Very scenic along the way, but did not stop to take any pictures as Greg seems to be in groove. I must ...
