... bursts of home when we at times felt like we were forever away. It seems surreal that we accomplished all we did on this trip, I look back over pictures and blog entries and cannot believe all we have experienced this summer. Now I need a vacation to recover from this vacation! If anyone needs me (or wants to visit!) I will be at our pool because I am not leaving my house for at least a week! ~ ...

... a vacation without some bumps and bruises? With Alex on the camera down the rocks I go, dunking the front of the kayak as I enter the water. What a rush that little hill provided. Next stop, a waterfall. All in all, this was an awesome experience, with Alex and I no longer planning on rafting again. We are now kayakers. I had 2 dunkings on the trip down and Alex the one. What an experience.

The armoury itself was influential before this in the industrial revolution by being the first place to introduce a system ...

So, this is IT! We are "ready" (I put quotations around the word ready because planning a 6ish week long road trip with three kids - can one truly really be 100% ready?). Tomorrow morning we leave bright and early for Niagara Falls, destination #1. Everyone is excited (and nervous) the house is secure, "see you laters" have been said, and we will be off on our adventure to see America!  Tomorrow!! ...

... time has been spent packing, cleaning, organizing, finishing up school and work, more packing, finishing grad school stuff, making reservations, more cleaning, and more packing. Not too exciting yet.

We have spent the past few months thinking that this trip will be either totally amazing, or the worst experience of our lives (honestly, I bet it will depend on the day) and we will not know how it will go until it is too late!

Ack! We leave in a week!!!
