After another gourmet breakfast at “Candle Inn the Window B&B“, we retraced our steps back to the New Brunswick border (approx 5 hours). Weather rainy and forecast not looking good. We stopped at the tourist centre and booked a B&B near the “Hopewell Rocks“ (renowned for low tide view of “flowerpot“ rock formations. It is always difficult entering a new province - unfamiliar with the geography, unsure about ...
The original plan was to take the bus from Charlottetown to Amherst, rent a car there & drive about for a few hours prior to the train’s departure late in the afternoon. However, the thought of getting up at 5:30 to catch the bus & carrying a boxed breakfast plus going through the hassle of taking a taxi to the bus depot & dealing with luggage on and off the bus as well as in and out ...

The weather is wet and dreary but our experience is exciting and invigorating! Cape Enrage gave us an afternoon and evening of changing skies and gave us great opportunities for memorable photos.
It was awesome to walk on the ocean floor and feel the vastness of the rock formation. Tides the height of a four store building rush through this Point. This definitely one of the great Marine Wonders of the World.
... was on time despite the delay). We had changed time zones so had lost an hour and arrived at 11.45am. We found the hostel and settled in. It is ncie and feels like home in a way. We met a girl from Germany who like us was keen to get to Hopewell rocks and Fundy national park but had also heard that a car was required to get there. We discussed hiring a car however after a trip to the tourist information we found that ...
Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada kellybooth16... have children, the activities there are more associated to them I feel. It is a miniature tourist area with a zoo, a water park, a wharf like area and a unique driving experience. I was originally going to do the unique driving experience but at $5 and the thought of having to navigate the RV backwards up a hill for 50mtrs or so wasn't worth the fun ...
Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada daslinkSpent the morning doing the tourist thing - went to an Acadian museum, visitors' centre, etc. The most eventful part of today was a short afternoon drive from Moncton to Hopewell Rocks, which is in (on? near?) the Bay of Fundy, the site of the highest tides in the world. It was actually quite a hike to get from the visitors' centre to the flowerpot rock formations, but definitely worth it to see ...
Hopewell Cape, New Brunswick, Canada dianaleemiller... tent on the main street where there was some live music and a stand selling clam chowder, crab cakes, and some other stuff - not your typical street food. Also, there were some silly blow-up things in the street, i.e. a large inflatable can of beer. We went to a couple of cooking demos, walked around the waterfront, and then went to a farmers market, to a couple of vintage shops/boutiques, and to a bistro for dinner.
Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada dianaleemiller... there were thousands of people there with us [80,000 or so in all] and so for a while my claustrophobia got the best of me [yay for the ever comforting fetal position lol]...but once the music started I forgot all about being afraid and had an awesome time! Plus they played my favourite song of theirs "Paint it Black"...sweet! On Sunday after our crazy night we went to see the ocean...and waded in for ...
