    ... to do some more wandering, pending our return at 3pm. Grabbed lunch on the go! True to their word, we returned just after 3pm and our rooms were ready for us. I'm on the 21st floor so have great views over the city (see pics). Rest for the afternoon, ready for our official meet and greet at 6pm tonite.     Another day in paradise begins with our train trip to the Tour bus and then on to complete our final day pass credits. Got off the bus at one of Gaudi's landmarks ....The Sagrada Familia. It is a huge church that he started to build before he died and it will not be complete until 2026.     Outside we went to a little nearby park and bought me a gelato cone.
    Then we took a cab to Park Guell. We got there earlier than our time so they didn't let us in. There is a nice little restaurant just outside the ticket office - casual and inexpensive for tapas or meals. We both got the fish fry. They do have a grace period of a half hour in case you are late. This place is a bit confusing so ask a lot of questions if you go. We almost followed some people to the ...

    ... and catenary arches, like exposed ribs, to provide strength using less materials and the concept of openess. Over 2 hours spent exploring this wonderful building. We walked home thru the high end shopping district, and had the concierge book dinner for us. Had pre dinner drinks "at home" before walking along the waterfront on a beautiful Spanish evening, not a breath of air, lovely harbour setting, light was magic. Got lost, but found our way.     ... off to read something more interesting because I am launching into architecture (not everyone's cup of tea), well let me say first, this guy Gaudi was out there doing his own thing which was nothing like any other architect was doing. If, like me, you dislike conformity, being just a number, rules, regulations and instead admire individualism, pioneering spirit, the courage to do something different, then Gaudi is your man!
