    ... Reconvened back at apartment to go to the Xambanga parade just a few blocks away. Has people in giant costumes and lots of crazy music with kids throwing confetti and such. Got some late night pasta and are working on what all we need to do tomorrow for the La Merce festivals last day. Will be lots going on so should be another fun/busy ...

    ... the back. Gary visited a different shop and picked up a very nice Catalan t-shirt. The Spanish and Catalan flag were very easy to find and we did not have to hunt for long. By the time we had finished shopping, all of us were struggling with the heat but Barbara was really flagging.

    We did stumble on a really interesting display of giant festival figures that are on display in the Corpus. Christie parade..Some of these figures were over 100 years ...

    ... would be a good place to try paella. And more wine. It was delicious. Here we met two Swedish sisters and had a lovely conversation after dinner. We each had drunk our own half liter of wine and we were quite cheerful. We all hugged and set off for home. 11:00 and the streets were packed. Wall to wall.
