I brought my climbing shoes on this trip, but I am quite a wimp when it comes to cold waters (which by my standards was quite cold). I actually get purply-blue when the water is like 65 degrees, so I was totally fine being the cameraman.

We also drove out to do some exploring and hiking in the Parc Natural de Mondrago.

There were four little easy hikes which brought ...

It’s important to have good food at home and on weekend jaunts, as the boys entertain us with stories of how the school food is horrible, something apparently universal in Spain. It’s really too bad, as the social life around lunch is great, except for what really seems like strange

Well after 2 weeks in Spain we have swapped blue waters and sun for beautiful architecture and bicycles!!
Our last week in Mallorca was spent mainly in Cala D'or where we would wake up, go to the grocery store to buy yogurt and fruit, and then off to the beach. Cala D'or has 3 coved beaches that have rock on either side.
      We did ...

Last day... Despite not being at school, I think we had to get up even earlier today! We met with Lisa and Andrea and took a taxi to Santa Ponsa to meet John. From there, we began our boat trip to the island of Dragonera, near the north west coast of Majorca. The trip was great - more views of the beautiful Mallorquin coastline, blazing sun and the wind in our hair. We stopped for a swim in the sea en route to the island and had a lunch on the boat - ...

      Cala Mesquida

... school, James drove us to the east coast to Cala Mesquida (beach). In typical fashion, on the last day we find what was probably my favourite beach! Beautiful sand and crystal clear sea (it was genuinely like being in a pool!). The water was on a strange ledge which made the waves come in from all over the place - lots of fun. But it was also really easy to go quite far out and be completely secluded and very peaceful - the ...
