There was also a heart monitor in front of you and before the ride started my heart rate was at 98 and then it went up to 113 (from what I could see) while going upside down on the loop. We stopped for a bit of adventure minigolf and some shopping before relaxing on the balcony of a café with a slice of black forest cake and a coffee at Café Becker, where we first tried one in January 2013. Steffie insisted on eating cake with a ...

... and then back down to the Schluchsee, where we set up camp. The Schluchsee is the largest lake in the area, although its man-made. 80 years ago they built a dam at the end to enlarge the lake for energy. At 930m elevation, its quite high and 7kms long.

Because we arrived so early, we went for a walk down along the lakeshore towards the town and very pretty spot called Amalienruhe. The Deutsche Bahn also travels ...
