I think I wrote in my journal Thursday of last week. The last three days have been just driving the countryside of France and visiting sweet little medieval villages. They are so quaint and different than anything we have in the States.

Last night we went to a 3 star Michelin restaurant—Auberge de L'Ill in Illhaeusern. It was amazing and the most expensive meal we have ever had. I doubt we will experience it again, but it was ...

These last few days were spent pretty much driving back from
the UK to Switzerland, and even though the distance is not really far by South
African standards, driving is slower due to the amount of traffic on the roads.

Perfect timing! Finished the night with a great dinner at the ...

Tuesday and Wednesday we spent in this town, high in the Black Forest. We hiked a bit up to the waterfalls, then went through every store looking for cuckoo clocks. Didn't find any that I liked that didn't cost over 1000 euros. But it was fun and these are handcrafted here. It lovely up here. Roads are fantastic. And the speed limit on the two Lane roads we are using is 42 to 50 mph. And that is ok with all the swerves in the road. Photos to follow. Hope this finds you all ...

... compared stories of our adventures as we finished the trail, enjoyed the amazing views as we descended back into town and rewarded ourselves with lunchtime beer at a cafe. Both tired we walked around the town a bit before driving over to the next town of St Peters and visiting the most amazing former Abbey, the ceiling of which was decorated in murals, while gilt covered statures surrounded the walls. While we were there we saw a wedding party depart, all the ...
