    The main square holds the remains of a temple dedicated to Apollo. Shops and homes covered the hillside alongside the temple.

    A reservoir has been uncovered, big enough to have served 400 families.

    What really fascinates me are columns and stones that still are engraved with Greek writings. I wish we could get translations to see what these residents ...

    ... was. Today we are on our own. No tours, no buses, no schedule. We were allowed off the ship at 8:00 this morning, and we were down the gangway by 8:30. Our plan for the day was to just visit Old Town in Rhodes. It shouldn't be to difficult since it is right across the street from the ship. Basically, five minutes from the cabin.
