A Sick Day

A travel blog entry by ddmac54 on Sep 12, 2015

Sorry family and friends, today is a sick day. I started feeling worse as the day progressed. My throat became sore and a little constricted. I had a tough night and got up in the middle of the night to take more aspirins and gargle with salt water. Unfortunately, I took it into the downstairs bathroom, threw back my head and saw two daddy-long-leg spiders on the ceiling. I almost swallowed the salty water! Gross.

... pepper, mushrooms and some really nice pork chops and steak. I also got some nice local cheeses and Michael got some honey for his oatmeal that came from a hive behind the store!

We took a few photos of the wildness of the ocean today on the way home. I also wanted to get out of the car to take photos of our perilous driveway at the cottage. When I started walking up the driveway to get the shots I noticed our front door was open and people ...

As well as the Devon Cream Tea, one of the things on my To Do list here is ...

We're thinking of going to the pub tonight to check it out.

It was another beautiful sunny gorgeous day and the bay was filled with surfers and swimmers. I do love it here, aside from my whining.

Day 7 Polperro to Dartmoor

We were allowed a slight sleep in this morning and used the extra hour
to go for a walk around Exeter Cathedral which is just behind the hotel.
After this we drove down to Polperro , a small fishing village. More
tourist than fishing I suspect now. Very pretty town , picture postcard
stuff. Houses glued to the steep sides of the harbor. Time for a walk
around and some lunch. Beautiful bright blue skies and ...
