Uvita, Province of Puntarenas, Costa Rica pamericas... figured it was a fuel issue. Now, a few days later, we relize the problem was not Wesley but bad fuel. White smoke, which we were blowing, is a sign of too much water in the fuel. Of course we had to get the bad Diesel right before going over the Moutain of Death! Luckily Wesley is running fine now.

That night we parked in the middle of a pineapple field own buy yours truly, Del Monte. I never thought we would be enjoying Del Monte for it's beautiful sunset's!

Uvita, Province of Puntarenas, Costa Rica carrera2u... at 4pm, we rented a board each for 24 hours and headed out to the waves. After an hour or so I was getting the hang of paddling out, catching a wave, then riding it in to shore; but lying on the board rather than standing up - don't try to run before you can walk!
Jacó, Province of Puntarenas, Costa Rica matt.s.wise... and have been really enjoying it! Bit of a laugh, I was out in the water yesterday and I saw fins circling me, at first I thought dolphin, then shark, to say I was planking myself is an understatement!! I soon discovered that they were manter rays, "harmless" a kiwi guy later told me laughing his head off when I told him. So today I was out and I was hitting manter ray everytime I was paddling ...
Jaco, Province of Puntarenas, Costa Rica grimsey... underarmor compression shorts, oh ya not to mention all the money I had, 380$ for the surf board credit card, wallet, license, and everything else people put in a wallet. The way the criminals did this I was told by a local tico; the bag is in the overhead compartment above my head, they have like 3-4 people doit one will stand right near you so ur vision is blocked, another will slide it down the compartment near the rear door and then ...
Jaco, Costa Rica buckets2100... The weekend before we were leaving for San Jose, Dominical embraced Halloween with force. The majority of tourists and expats living there being American's explained a lot. Friday, Saturday and Sunday all had parties planned at different venues. On Friday, we arrived at the first party which happened to be at the San Clemente bar, in the centre of town away from the beach but owned by the same people as our hostel. Perhaps a third of the party goers had no costumes, including me and ...
Dominical, Costa Rica soul_surfista... know some of them and get to know Nathan too. Nathan Dees - texas guitar legend is a Scizophrenic and doesnt take long to inform you of it. He even has a big tattoo with the word on his arm, shaped like a caution! road sign, this I guess is for deaf people who cant hear him pronounce his condition with pride. He has obviously come to terms with it, knows how to deal with it and has accepted it as part of what makes him a very interesting person to spend time with. Me and Jb chat with ...
Playa Jaco, Costa Rica soul_surfista... terminal. The bus pauses when he sees us and the conductor yells to put a move on it. We run the last 50 yds. There are Sandanista flags everywhere. Its evident who has more dough to spend. Peace and reconciliation is their motto, but one thing i have noticed is that if you are not a Sandanista, when you talk politics you whisper. The war may be over, but old wounds are slow to heal; and they are not so old. Across from us sits a guy who Efrain recognizes ...
