      We took advantage of a break in a thunder shower to explore ruins of the Priamar fortress which is built on a hill near the harbor. In 1528 Savona was conquered by Genoa; the city was ransacked and the beautiful cathedral on the site was demolished. In its place the Genoese built an immense fortress.       We are at sea today writing this portion of the blog as we head for Casablanca, Morocco on the northwest coast of Africa. Savona was a surprisingly delightful Italian port city. Most passengers disembarked, having come to the end of their cruise to Istanbul. Many more passengers embarked so the ship is full for the voyage to Argentina.       So we arrived at the campsite at Imperia with another problem with the Alarm Siren Sounding and the Engine Immobiliser kicking in... We now have 3 problems still to sort out, the Fiat Speedometer, Kitchen Tap and the Alarm..!       ... can't be right. Dean went and asked a lady out the front of her house for directions. She spoke absolutely no English but we had some sort of conversation. She said we could turn around In her front yard. So we did. That wasn't the easiest. We managed to turn around but getting out of the drive way was the problem. There was a ditch on one side and a fence on the other. Our Italian friend warned me and helped me put rocks in the ditch to help get around it. ...
