    Great location
Lodges in the grounds are clean. Rooms are very warm and a little tired.
    Breakfast and dinner were good.

We were up today at 6.30 so we could sort out what we were taking to the lodge in Colca Canyon. We're only there for one night and then we're back to Arequipa so it seemed silly taking everything. Then we had breakfast-the lovely teddy bear waier was there, he is our favourite!.

We drove to see Colca Canyon, the first part of the journey was OK but after about 7 miles the tarmac ran out and we were on a rough track for the next 75 minutes or so. In places the road (!) had rivers running across it or rocks from landslides some of which had …

Suddenly carrying a litre of red wine down the canyon became totally worth it. We were in heaven. As the night came we reluctantly pulled ourselves out of the hot springs and up to the lodge, where we ...
