... up. This couldn't be easier! So off we went, speeding down the highway, weaving in and out of traffic. We were making good time, heading towards the signs that said El Yunque. Following the directions we turned down a small road that took us winding up the mountain side, switching back and forth in between brightly colored houses and hole in the wall bodegas. We continued to climb into beautiful country side, but I was starting to become unsure. Was this really the way to ...

... days long, I’ve got to say that this was one of my best times traveling thus far. I got to spend quality time with my grandparents, and we explored the island together for many mutual “firsts.” I got the chance to learn about the history of the island, and revisit some of my favorite spots. ... are so overrun with the plants and trees, but venture a few feet off the path and you can see the old equipment, stills and buildings of the plantation.

It is magical and mysterious to be in these buildings that used to be occupied that are now abandoned and slowly being consumed by the nature around them, roots pushing through brick walls and vines draping over the crumbling ceilings. There is an element of spookiness, but ...

... line-height: normal;">Okay. That is about it for my rambling. If I knew the words I would quote a few Ricky Nelson song lyrics from rambling man. You are just going to have to google those yourself. Maybe watch a YouTube video or something. Once you finish reading this literary masterpiece of course. Can you believe I haven't had a single piņa colada all day? I had 3 last night, but none yet today. I have a lot of catching up to do.
