... through its tour, I was starting to rethink the wisdom of booking/taking an excursion with TWL. By the end of the day, my decision was made for the rest of the trip. I don’t need this kind of stress in my life.

I can only surmise that the debacles of the past two days are due to a reduction in staff that would be needed for “crowd control”. I also feel that the more experienced travelers/cruisers we have on this cruise brings out the “I ...

        Sleepy in Guam

... I had to make it fairly clear that I was just having a look. That said a look in the Tiffany’s store was rewarded with a bottle of Tiffany & Co water complete with pale blue label.

After a quick repack and freshen up, it was time to catch the airport transfer and check in for our flight back to Cairns. Luckily this one was on time, not too full and not too long.

After clearing Australian customs and immigration, ...

I arrived Guam at 5 AM from Philippines and rented a car. My parents came here years ago and loved it. They said one day they rented a car and drove all the way around the island. I decided to take the same route as I was only here on a stopover for 14 hours. It was a fun filled day. I started out by visiting a few parks that contained torpedos as monuments from World War II. It's crazy that I'm still ...

Liberation Day and Last Dive Day

        August 21, 2012

This is our last day of diving and we are going out of the closer marina in the afternoon. Yea, one day we get to sleep late! Unknown to us when we planned the trip, it is also Liberation Day in Guam, the 68th anniversary of the day when Guam was liberated from the Japanese in WWII. It is a big party day here. People have paid small fees to have ...

        Into the Deep Again

        July 19, 2012 and July 20, 2012

ARGH, it is hard to get up in the morning. We have to leave earlier today as we are diving out of the far marina and it will take us a bit longer to get there. Both Thursday and Friday are going to be out of the further marina so I'll just include both days together as the days are pretty much the same, only the dive sites change!

        We did manage ...
