... West for their annual Fantasy-Fest Halloween parade. Now I've been to New Orleans before and have done my share of debauchery but I have to be honest that I'm not sure I've seen anything quite like this. Words can not begin to describe the scene so I'll leave it to their website and my few meager pictures. Needless to say, we took in the scene, drank some beers (those of you over ...
Key West, Florida, United States rjdemp... which was at the start of the drive, to which i said that wasn't in the deal i was just a witness. She said she wasn't aloud on the premises but it was here property, she was very reassuring and wasn't pressurising or anything. Now i was regretting it even more, she said her husband had beaten her so if he saw me with her emptying the postbox what might he do to me! I also thought what if this is all a set up, i get out with my bag in the car and she pulls off and leaves me ...
Key West, Florida, United States edwardallin... We went back into downtown and did a little shopping, we pretty much walked into every store just to get out of the heat. No pool to cool us off today so we did the next best thing and started drinking Daiquiri's... It definitely did the trick. We also went on a sunset cruise with live music by a guy named Cory Hayden, and all you could drink, margaritas, beer and wine. That's when the fun started. Michelle and I danced the night away and even got to play with band. Nic ...
Key West, Florida, United States nicandjessica... we're hoping he will get another opportunity when we reach the west coast.

Instead, we decided to take a walk down to Fort Zachary beach on Key West, as it didn't look that far on the map. How wrong we were! The walk took about 30 minutes in the blistering heat (the hottest day we have had so far). It was quite an interesting scenic route though, as we stumbled across a part of the island called 'Bahamian Village', where a lot of ...
Key West, Florida, United States jimandlaura04/10/2009 - Last night Jim went down to the pier to meet Fred for some late night fishing. I popped down about 11pm and Jim was all on his own desperate to catch something. Fred had already given up hope and gone out for pizza instead. It was really spooky on the pier at night, pitch black with the only light coming from the moon. The tide was in and the water was deep and choppy. After half an hour or so, Jim was just about to give up when he suddenly got a bite. He soon realised ...
Key West, Florida, United States jimandlaura... it is about 145 miles with little opportunity to pass anyone so it was a little frustrating to be so close to finishing and to have to be patient on the ride down, but we finally got here and now we can enjoy some down time here and with Barb's folks this week in Zephyrhills, FL.
We didn't see any alligators on the highway but Barb did see a rather large Iguana trying to cross the road, That should have some kind of a punchline ...

Key West, Florida, United States linzie2002uk... Rick's, The Bull, Captain Tony's, Irish Kevin's, Craby Dick's, and some more. We had to be back on the boat by 2PM so naturally we crossed the ramp back onto the ship at 1:59 and 59 seconds. As soon as we walked on board the crew radioed the captain that the last people were on board and we set sail.
Key West, Florida, United States exploreamerica... on the side of the road." We all start looking... we end up seeing over a hundred gators, anywhere from three feet to huge. They are just sunny themselves along side of the swamp, which is on the ride of the road. There is no shoulder just swamp and gators. Pretty cool to see!
