    ... on the main course. I had the roast beef and Claire the roast ham with all the trimmings. I only had a small portion – it was only lunch time. The rum and raisin bread and butter pudding went down a treat with a cup cake and coffee. We had spent nearly 3 hours eating. It was a fantastic meal and we had a great time. Only trouble was getting out of the chairs!! We had to sit on the beach all afternoon just letting our food go ...

    ... rest of the outing at the beach where we were given sun loungers and umbrellas. Sky was blue, sand was white, sea a lovely rather green azure blue and the temperature in the early eighties.

    When we arrived back at Arcadia`s key we bought postcards for the grandchildren and were greeted by a steel band. By now it was 5.00pm and we were setting off at 5.30pm.

    ... had just finished his solo crossing of the Atlantic and his boat was getting repairs in St Lucia when he met Edger and agreed to the regatta. He didn't take the abuse so well, to start with he laughed it off too, but at the end he told him to "f'#@k off" and stopped doing any work on the boat.     Less than a week to go now. It is a bit like the end of term. All kinds of winding down activities.

    The monologue will/may be delivered 2 days before disembarkation. Today is a special lunch for the all rounders, those who have not just done legs. Yesterday was the Country Fair in which a goodly amount was raised for Haiti.
