So, after 5 days worth of failed attempts trying to fly standby, I came to the realisation that this is probably going to be impossible for the next month at least. There were 40 other people waiting with me in standby, many of them AA staff, many of them with families and many of them completely stranded for one reason or the other - a few were stuck behind too many people in line and checkin ...

This is my third day trying to get out of the island on standby. I was 38/47 on the list earlier. So many families of staff members using their tickets for holiday.. It's insanity. It seems to be impossible to get out of the Caribbean right now! Hopefully I'll figure out something soon, otherwise I may have to cancel parts of my itinerary.. :(

Her kids own this resort. They take her as long as they can handle her (the beach waiter told me) and then bring her back. It was kind of creepy walking all around them, but this is what made the whole place intriguing and captivating. <br><br>We stopped for while along the ocean to admire big huge boulders right on the shore. ... is so beautiful. I just couldn't believe my surroundings. At the bottom of the ocean, the corals were spectacular. Words cannot describe beauty. You have to see it to believe it.
