      Woke at 2.30 am and just couldn't get back to sleep until after 6am- but on the bright side and due to the time difference I had a Facebook and email 'conversation' with some good friends in the UK. I'm still feeling so sad about Sadie and it was good to have some internet hugs.
      We're on the 'wrong' side of the road for the beach but only have to walk a couple of hundred yards to get there. ...

      Up with the sun after a night of wicked thunderstorms. Water is beautiful. Aaron and Logan took a kayak across the bay to the pier but it had a hole in it and they couldn't bring it back. Today we are enjoying the beach and moving down to the klong kloi beach. We plan to walk to the pier for a feast of seafood tonight.

      ... Kood. We couldn’t have asked for better weather, the sea was like a mirror. Serene all but disturbed by a few minor ripples with reflections of the clouds made out like a watercolour painting. As we approached Koh Mak, the island before Koh Kood, the sea started to change into the most incredible colour of turquoise, crystal clear, you could see the bottom of the ocean. Heaven on earth.
