... Paula and Chris to catch the Beatlemaniacs, obviously a Beatles revival band. We go down to the international cafe around 6:30 to meet for the wine makers dinner. The other couples were there except for a pair of honeymooners that arrived a bit late, nudge nudge, wink wink, Bobs your uncle. They show up shortly after we are seated the the head waiter begins to tell us about the wine makers dinner. There was 12 of us total. Dinner was excellent and the wine pairing was superb. Our ...

... conditions as he landed it as if it was on a dry runway.  It took us just over 4 hrs to get to Ohio and, within 2 hours, we were off again bound for Fort Lauderdale on a further 2.5 hrs flight.  Amazing to think that in just over 2 hours we went from freezing cold - almost blizzard like - conditions to hot tropical weather - as the pictures show. Amazing how technology has given us the ability to experience such occurrences. We picked up ...

We checked into our condo, which is in Weston in early afternoon. It is a nice 1 bedroom condo on the edge of the city, right near the Everglades. It's in a high rise tower with some nice swimming pools. Weston looks like a fairly affluent suburban community, but ...

got up for the free hostel brekky and decided to book a tour to the famous Everglades to go and see some Alligators. It was here on the tour that I met Frida from Sweden, who spoke English with a confusingly good Australian accent. Turns out she lived there for a while, which explained a lot.

When we got to the everglades, our first activity was an airboat ride through the area. I always thought that the airboat bit was all a bit of ...

... 8217; home. Left from JFK on a virtually empty Delta flight that put us in Fort Lauderdale (FLL) before 2pm, and we arrived at the Port Everglades ferry terminal to check in. There were two cruise ships departing from FLL on the Sunday: a baby dinghy (Independence of the Seas) and a gigantic cruise liner that ate ships like the Independence for breakfast (Allure of the Seas). Yep, you called it…ours was the Allure. Boom! It towered over everything in ...
