Historical Traveler Reviews Cocobelle Resort Fort Lauderdale

    Birthday weekend

    from

I wanted to tell of the wonderful experience I had at the Cocobelle Resort in Ft Lauderdale. I had Family coming to town and wanted to put them at a place near the beach.

I found there web site and then went down to check the resort out. What I saw on the web is exactly what I found when I got there. The grounds are like being in a very peaceful tropical setting with a nice size pool with sun lounges. They do offer beach towels for the guest. I checked out different units before booking and they are all different but very well appointed. I booked a 1 bedroom unit and my family was very pleased for everything you need was there. All there units with kitchens have pots, pans and dish wear, felt like you were at home. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. I will be booking more rooms for business associates and family.

Thanks to Cocobelle for making my Fathers 60th birthday a happy and memorable one.

    Highly recommendable

    from

Prior to booking we searched the web for an affordable, yet nice hotel close to the beach and discovered that such a place is not that easy to find in Fort Lauderdale! Many beach hotels are either very expensive or have seen better times.

After reading the favorable reviews on Tripadvisor, we finally chose the Cocobelle Resort. An excellent choice!

    Hotel and location:

Small hotel in a quiet residential area, within easy walking distance to the water taxi stop (10 minutes) and the great beach (4 minutes). You can also walk to a couple of restaurants (approx. 15 minutes). Lovely garden with swimmingpool and sunchairs. Everything is well kept and clean. Friendly owner and staff. Free parking in front of the hotel.

    Room:

We stayed in unit 7 (first/ground floor), a spottless, tastefully decorated bright room with aircon, a double and a single bed. Comfortable beds, very good shower. Very quiet, no street noise or noise from other rooms.

Even though you can walk to the beach and some restaurants, we would recommend a rental car to get around. There are several shopping malls in the area.

We had a great time and would definitely stay there again! You won't find any better for this price in Fort Lauderdale.

    Nice place to stay

    from

This a great small hotel in a quiet area. The owner has completely and tastefully renovated it. Expect a new and very clean room. Free wireless internet is a great perk. Every one was very nice and you feel right at home.

    Un bel posto

    from

Tutti erano molto carini e ti senti proprio come a casa.

    Un agradable alojamiento

    from

    from

    The place to be...!!!

    from

We stayed at the Cocobelle Resort - Ft. Lauderdale for two nights and we enjoyed ever minute. Even arriving late due to traffic the resort staff gave us a nice "Welcome Home feeling"!!!

The resort is perfectly located and the lovely beach is just a short walk away as well as the "Water Taxi".

Overall it is a nice quiet resort with a personal home-feeling touch - we are soon looking forward to come back for a longer stay!!!

    Immaculate, Great, Up-to-date Style Units!!!

    from

My stay at Cocobelle Resort was GREAT! The Staff was VERY friendly and the room was in great shape. The units are fully furnished and were just recently remodeled. For the price, you really can't go wrong. The location is great, a block away is a great are for nightlife and just about a mile from the famous Las Olas Boulevard.

    THANK YOU COOCOBELLE - PAUL

Apartamentos inmaculados, fantásticos y de estilo moderno

    from

Muchas gracias Coocobelle-Paul.

    Charming, Immaculate and Unique!

    from

I traveled to Fort Lauderdale to attend a party and decided that I would stay overnight. I did not have advance reservations so decided to just drive around the Beach Boulevard section of Fort Lauderdale. There were many places to choose from but when I came to the Cocobelle Resort on Vistamar Street, I knew right away this was going to be the place where I would stay. The appearance of the inn from the outside is the first thing I noticed and when I drove by the Cocobelle, it just reached out to me. It was so impressive and had such ambience, with its Christmas decorations and clean appearance and manicured landscaping that I just knew the rooms would equal the outside appearance and I was right. I was informed that the resort had recently undergone a complete renovation and the decor of the room was first class. It was like walking into a Homes & Gardens magazine. The beds with their ruffled pillows and soft comforters were such a delight to lay in and the bathroom tile was so squeaky clean and as shiny as can be. The furniture and furnishings were just so appealing. I would say my comfort level was at 100% +. In addition, the black wrought iron gate in front was locked at night which made me feel totally secure and of course, the staff were very hospitable and gracious. I have stayed at many different inns and resorts and this one is definitely high on my list of places to return to.

Once we left Orlando and were headed to Miami, we were in the hands of a different airline, which I was praying that we were going to have better luck with them than we had with the previous airline. Praying obviously didn't help because when we arrived at Miami International Airport, we had no luggage. Missed flights and that stuff really aren't a big deal, because the airline will try and get you on the next available flight out, but when your luggage goes missing, they ...

... I plan to compare, as objectively as possible, all of the states in terms of livability.

But back to Florida for a bit.

One thing that stuck out to me in Florida is that the Sunshine State, for better or worse, presents a much greater contrast in socioeconomic inequality than Minnesota. The rich are richer (Boca Raton, Key Biscayne), while the poor are much poorer (Dadeland South). It might seem obvious and trivial, but I ...

... tourists, less craziness but still great beaches, bars and restaurants. So I thought with the 10 days we are spending in south Florida we'd stay in Fort Lauderdale for most and only go to Miami for 4 nights to see 2 NBA games at American Airlines Arena and see our favorite team the Miami Heat led by our 2 favorite players Lebron James and Duane Wade. The first game we see is tomorrow night so after arriving last night we only have today and tonight then we head by train to South ...

Afterwards we went to Tap42 for ladies night, never a good idea to start off with wine and then switch over... Hazardous! I didn't feel too fresh on Thursday, understandably. It's good to be able to chill a bit though. Mom phoned and I spoke to her, Gnarly, Scuub, DS, Andrich and Ruan... Was awesome to hear everyone's voices. We had a pizza ...

... Bar). - By this time, I was starving, so I quickly threw down a sub, while sitting in Columbus Circle, next to the fountain. Following this, I hired a bike and rode around the world famous Central Park. The park us absolutely massive, being over 10km them whole way round and containing numerous lakes, baseball fields, ice skating rinks, tennis courts, statues, playgrounds and picnic areas. The thing that stood out the most was the trees that were just beginning to bloom, ...
