Historical Traveler Reviews La Quinta Inn & Suites Cocoa Beach Oceanfront

Deneen at front desk so helpful

      from

I was bumped off a flight at the last minute, and traveled alone to Cocoa with 2 small children during the height of spring break. Deneen at the front desk was so kind and helpful. She is the epitome of service and courteousness.

      Wonderful

      from

we have stayed at the oceanside three times now and everything has always been excellent. anything we needed was tended to immediately.

the view is beautiful, overlooking the pier, and our room is always clean. having easy access to the pier is great. the bar downstairs has great drinks and a lovely atmosphere. we won't stay anywhere else in cocoa now that we have been spoiled by the oceanside!

      Filthy carpet, inadequate maid service

      from

The bottom of my feet will never be the same again. Within thirty minutes of walking on the carpet, my feet were BLACK. The remaining four days were spent ruining over eight pairs of socks as I'm certain no amount of bleach or soaking will ever render them wearable. The bath mats in the tub/showers were slimy and slippery in both of the adjoining rooms. Maid service doesn't arrive until late afternoon and at best you can trade your towels and assist with trash disposal. If you don't ask, you won't even receive that. The lobby staff was very pleasant and the location and view superb.

      Dirty and Damp

      from

We stayed at this hotel for the Halloween Weekend and had a BAD experience ... the hotel was SEVERELY under-staffed .... Imagine staying in the same room for days .. without it being cleaned!

      A good choice

      from

We stayed 3 nights over Labor Day Weekend 2003. Found the accomodations to be very nice all things considered. The rooms are clean and spacious. Maid service could be a little more efficient. Complimentary continental breakfast is great - it either tides you over until you walk the 2 short blocks to Perkins for breakfast or for those non-breakfast people it has just what you need. I would recommend this hotel - If you're wanting an oceanfront room, I would not want to be on the 1st floor. You won't be able to see the ocean because of the sand dunes. We had the 2nd floor and it was fine.

      Very average

      from

I got a great deal on the internet, only to receive the worst room in this place, after complaining they moved us up to the fifth floor still the room was very small, we stayed for 7 nights. Only one suite . Staff was nice.

      Tropical, Serene and beautiful!

      from

We stayted at Oceanside Inn for 3 days and loved every second of it! A very tropical feel to the amazing surroundings and a very clean and comfortable room. The view was outstanding of the ocean and the cocoa beach pier! We would recommend Oceanside Inn to anyone.

      Great place to stay

      from

I have just stayed for two days at the Cocoa Beach Oceanside Inn. We watched the Space Shuttle launch from the Roof top veiwing deck, it was great! The Hotel and staff were also great I will definetely go there again !

      Great Property Love it!!

      from

I have to say that I have stayed there for the last 3 years and have no complaints about the hotel. I will be back at the Cocoa Beach Oceanside again in the new year! can't wait. Its right on the Beach!!

      Stay away

      from

I found this hotel on the net. AAA gave it a good review as did fordors so I thought I was safe. We arrived in the afternoon and were satisfied that it was clean and right on the beach with a balcony overlooking the ocean. We went out to dinner and came back when it was dark out. I turned on the lights and saw roaches !!! Needless to say we were packed and out of there in about 3 minutes. We got a refund. We paid 90 a night and went down the street to the Hilton which was only 70 a night.

This was the first time I ever booked a hotel that was not a major chain and I don't know if I ever will again as I have never had this happen to me before.

... going to be thorough and not going to rush myself like I did at the Smithsonian a few years back. I recently learned from my daughter Katie that I suffer from FOMO (Fear of missing out) and I don't want to miss a thing at KSC. Who knows when I will be back in these parts again?Sorry for the short write up, but nothing really happened today! Talk soon!

... of you that know me know that buffets are not my favorite. Oh well, I will survive. They have any and everything you can imagine on this buffet. They have tables of sweets, but they are not so good. I know there is ice cream on this ship somewhere and I will find it. Found the ice cream and they have soft serve vanilla and strawberry. Not too bad... The crew and staff are all very friendly and some even pretty funny. Not sure about this boat as I have not ...

      Daytona Beach to Cocoa Beach

... the old timers puffed away on their cigarettes and pipes (Apparently smoking doesn't kill you in Florida!).

We found a place to stay for $60 and guess what it's another 2 bedroom suite! At these prices it seems silly to camp. Sadly this $60 suite was nowhere close to the great place we had in Daytona, well i guess you can't win them all. To justify our splurge, we heated up some soup for lunch and headed to the beach. We wandered along the shore hand in hand like ...

When we came back to the original center, we went to the Space Shuttle Atlantis exhibit. It had the last Shuttle Atlantis that was used for missions to the International Space Station. We went down a big slide into a new level and went into a launch simulation room, which was so cool. It felt like we were going into space and felt like it because of the screen we were sitting behind. It was a really bumpy ride.

... I wanted to try the Space Shuttle Launch ride now and we rushed to try and beat the crowds of others getting off the bus wanting to do the same. Leaving all phones, bags and anything else that could be thrown about the cabin in a locker we set off to get our mission briefing from another real astronaut. It was starting to freak Hayley out as the astronaut explained how loud and hard the force of the launch would be...she was almost out of the auditorium, but we pushed her through with us ...
