Deneen at front desk so helpful
I was bumped off a flight at the last minute, and traveled alone to Cocoa with 2 small children during the height of spring break. Deneen at the front desk was so kind and helpful. She is the epitome of service and courteousness.
we have stayed at the oceanside three times now and everything has always been excellent. anything we needed was tended to immediately.
the view is beautiful, overlooking the pier, and our room is always clean. having easy access to the pier is great. the bar downstairs has great drinks and a lovely atmosphere. we won't stay anywhere else in cocoa now that we have been spoiled by the oceanside!
Filthy carpet, inadequate maid service
The bottom of my feet will never be the same again. Within thirty minutes of walking on the carpet, my feet were BLACK. The remaining four days were spent ruining over eight pairs of socks as I'm certain no amount of bleach or soaking will ever render them wearable. The bath mats in the tub/showers were slimy and slippery in both of the adjoining rooms. Maid service doesn't arrive until late afternoon and at best you can trade your towels and assist with trash disposal. If you don't ask, you won't even receive that. The lobby staff was very pleasant and the location and view superb.
Dirty and Damp
We stayed at this hotel for the Halloween Weekend and had a BAD experience ... the hotel was SEVERELY under-staffed .... Imagine staying in the same room for days .. without it being cleaned!
A good choice
We stayed 3 nights over Labor Day Weekend 2003. Found the accomodations to be very nice all things considered. The rooms are clean and spacious. Maid service could be a little more efficient. Complimentary continental breakfast is great - it either tides you over until you walk the 2 short blocks to Perkins for breakfast or for those non-breakfast people it has just what you need. I would recommend this hotel - If you're wanting an oceanfront room, I would not want to be on the 1st floor. You won't be able to see the ocean because of the sand dunes. We had the 2nd floor and it was fine.
I got a great deal on the internet, only to receive the worst room in this place, after complaining they moved us up to the fifth floor still the room was very small, we stayed for 7 nights. Only one suite . Staff was nice.
Tropical, Serene and beautiful!
We stayted at Oceanside Inn for 3 days and loved every second of it! A very tropical feel to the amazing surroundings and a very clean and comfortable room. The view was outstanding of the ocean and the cocoa beach pier! We would recommend Oceanside Inn to anyone.
Great place to stay
I have just stayed for two days at the Cocoa Beach Oceanside Inn. We watched the Space Shuttle launch from the Roof top veiwing deck, it was great! The Hotel and staff were also great I will definetely go there again !
Maria and Wil from Orlando.
Great Property Love it!!
I have to say that I have stayed there for the last 3 years and have no complaints about the hotel. I will be back at the Cocoa Beach Oceanside again in the new year! can't wait. Its right on the Beach!!
RM England UK
I found this hotel on the net. AAA gave it a good review as did fordors so I thought I was safe. We arrived in the afternoon and were satisfied that it was clean and right on the beach with a balcony overlooking the ocean. We went out to dinner and came back when it was dark out. I turned on the lights and saw roaches !!! Needless to say we were packed and out of there in about 3 minutes. We got a refund. We paid 90 a night and went down the street to the Hilton which was only 70 a night.
This was the first time I ever booked a hotel that was not a major chain and I don't know if I ever will again as I have never had this happen to me before.

... I would be nice just chilling on the beach, but it's not going to happen.
Sadly I didn't see any of my US friends last night, but right away today I bump into an American chap who used to work in my office in the UK. He isn't even attending my meeting, so once again The Truman Show springs to mind.
With the morning meeting out the way, I head off for lunch with Jeff and Remy. Jeff has been mentioned in my blogs on many an occasion as ...

... We even got some Christmas presents and a small Christmas tree made of wood (so it was some kind of travel Christmas tree). On Christmas Day, we wanted to go to a diner. When we arrived at Denny's the waitress said straight ahead that we would have to wait for quite a long time and informed us about the things that they had running out of (what was an eternally long list). But we thought it couldn’t be too bad. Ultimately, ...
You first walk into a stand-up theatre where you watch a short video about the design and construction of the Shuttle system. It was conceived and design started in 1969, even before we had successfully landed on the moon with the current Apollo program. Oh the audacity of it all, the confidence in our abilities, the confidence in prolonged congressional funding commitment!
How that contrasts with the cancellation of the Shuttle program; ...
... AC, without her eyes on the road and *****ing about it.
We end up running a very late yellow and the oncoming left hand turner incurs her rage, right up to a tirade of F-bombs as we both try to clear the intersection at the same time. She weakly apologizes and I ask her to both slow and calm down. It gets awkward and we drive in silence the rest of the way, what a blessing!
We get to Daytona Beach Triumph a short time later and circle the ...
